We are excited to announce our Save the Date for our Spring Training Symposium! We hope you will join us on May 15, 2026 at the Richmond Police Training Academy in Richmond City, VA.
Presentation proposals are also now being accepted for consideration. This is an opportunity to share your unique skill sets and knowledge with your colleagues.
All proposals must be submitted no later than 1700 hours Friday, February 27, 2026.
The VCAN welcomes proposals from introductory through advanced levels on a variety of topics including:
- Case studies
- Investigative or analytical techniques
- Research or statistical analysis
- Policy
- Technology
- Hands-on/ “Bring Your Own Computer”
- Career Development/Wellness

Criteria
- Presentations are generally 60 minutes in length. If you can teach a two (2) hour class, please indicate in your submission.
- You need permission from your agency to present and attend before submitting.
- Limit one (1) presentation per submission. If you would like to submit multiple presentations, complete a new form for each presentation.
