Connected Cars
Presenter: Nicholas Falcicchio (President, A.B.M. Intel)
Modern vehicles are no longer isolated mechanical systems—they are fully connected data platforms. Through embedded telematics units, and cellular modems, connected cars continuously generate and transmit data. Understanding the sources of data is crucial for criminal investigations.
This webinar provides a high-level overview of connected car sources of information, focusing on telematics and cellular connectivity. Attendees will gain insight into the types of records generated by connected vehicles and the practical considerations surrounding data accuracy, availability, and access. The session is designed to build foundational knowledge applicable across analytics and investigative domains.
This event is free for VCAN members and $10 for non-members. This presentation is open to those inside and outside of law enforcement and this presentation will be recorded.
Event is on Friday February 20, 2026, from 1pm – 3pm Eastern Time. Registration closes at COB on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Login details will be sent by COB on Wednesday February 18, 2026.
