Presenter: Mike Winslow, Scottsdale Police Department

Presentation Abstract:During one hot Arizona summer a prolific residential burglar pillaged throughout the greater Phoenix Area. Dubbing himself “The Pink Panther”, (seriously, he did that…) this serial offender had a particular set of skills, skills that made him somewhat averagely successful at burgling. His MO of using a handgun during his crimes earned him a dangerous reputation and provided analysts a unique factor in tracking him. Through good old-fashioned police work, (SPOILER ALERT!!!) he was eventually captured, and the investigators/analysts wrapped up their case. The defendant’s choice to represent himself at trial proved to be unique and entertaining experience for all.
